Simplifying a screw to modelization

I have a "doble machined conical screw" model (originaly IGES format), and wish to simplify to using in a complex assembly and analysis.

(1) How can I eliminate all the teeth in one side of the screw? OR

(2) How can I fill all the teeth in one side of the screw?

THANKS

I think the solution should be a simplified representation of the part.

Create one or several quilts (merge not forget). This should be like a shell around the area of the part are.

Don't Forget the Option "Capped Ends"

Then create a simplified representation.

using the following Options:

- Work Region

- Use Quilt

- Solid

and "Fills volume delimited by quilt with solid material"

auf deutsch wäre es sicher einfacher zu erklären gewesen! Grüße nach Karlsruhe
