Snared at last by repeat regions. Parts order control? Additions to SUMMARY

Hi Folks,
After I posted my first summary I got some further replies overnight (it is already our Friday here) and some of these had further good points so I thought I had better add to the summary.
First up was James with Table/ Repeat Region.../ Sort Regions/ Add/ then choosing Forward or Backward. Also honourable mention to Todd for his pointing the way to where this was covered in the HELP. This did not solve my problem.James came back with Table\ Repeat Region\ Fix Index (pick the table) (now pick the one you want first and assign it to 1 when prompted) (now pick the next one you want and assign it to 2 when prompted) (work your way through the table) Done....(and presto!!! they shift to the order you designated). Paul showed this with screen shots so that was nice. Martin added that he uses a numbering scheme (5, 10,15...) that has gaps for later insertion of other items. Robert mentioned to watch out for suppressed items if you fix the list. Using "Fix" looks like it could have solved the problem but I chose another route (see later). Interesting that I did not find this when I was poking around in HELP despite trying quite hard; guess I did not know the right words to search on (implies knowing the answer).
Dave wrote "This is why I use a parameter instead of rpt.index. If I change the "balloon_id" parameter on my parts, it updates all locations, assemblies and drawings that call that parameter. And I sort the tables using this column and never have a problem." Martin mentioned adding a priority parameter for BoM work. Although I did not use this it looks like a really robust solution with a fine degree of control.
David liked Repeat Regions as a double check mechanism for BoM accuracy.Homer said that using #table, #repeat region, #attributes, #No Dup/Level would force the tale to follow the model tree order. I thought I had done this but that drawing is now gone so I can't test it.
From my last summary I posted this...

In the end I threw all my toys out of the sandpit and windows copied the first drawing then replaced the assembly instance and voilà! The table that was there updated in the original order with my extra part tacked on the end as it should. Still no wiser why it chose a different order when I made a new table and repeat region but hey my immediate problem is solved and I learned some stuff along the way. Nothing like a sledgehammer to fix a problem:-)

Over many years I have mostly avoided Repeat Regions and BoM Balloons and this has come back to bite me on the hearse. It is getting close to the holiday season so the people I thought to ask are not available at the moment hence this post.

I have the table/balloons working correctly in every aspect except one. My list has populated in what seems to be a random order of parts. There is another drawing for this assembly using another Family Table Instance and that has a different parts order. I would like the order of parts to be the same in both drawings.

I have not been able to find anything in HELP to explain how to control the order in a repeat region so am hoping this will be something easy that one of you out there can explain (or point to where this is in the help system). What surprises me is that the order in the repeat region is not the same as the order of parts in the assembly (or at least for me anyway).

You can also check to see if the repeat region that worked on the other drawing has any relations. You should be able to add the same relations to any new region and get the desired results.

Hope this helps,
