Solidworks ScanTo3D vs. Reverse Engineering Extension

Possibly not the right forum, but I'm stuck with Solidworks ScanTo3D to handle scanned point clouds. I'm having issues with poor performance / crashing software.

How does Creo Reverse Engineering Extension handle this?

Does anyone have any experience from this?

Hi Mats,

I have had good results with 3DReshaper allowing me to take point cloud data remove noise, smooth out points and make a water tight step file. You still wind up with a buch of surface triangles . I add protrusions where i want to add loads and constraints just to make setting up simulations easier. Have found it to be quicker to work with CT Scan and White light scan point clouds in regards to making solid models from points.
