Start part

I created a start part and a drawing for it.

When I start a new part and select the above created start part as template and pick “copy associated drawing” brings the drawing but not format. I have to update the format or keep the format in my current workspace before I start working on new part file.

Is there a way you can get a drawing file along with its format?

Thanks in advance.

Sharath

For more clarification. I already assigned start part, format locations in my config file.

If I create a drawing by selecting drawing template it will bring the template along with it.

Issue is If I am creating a new part file by selecting a "start part" and pick option "

Thanks,

Sharath

The things that I would check:

* Start part and drawing are in the same folder with identical
names.
* All appropriate config options are set.
* There are not extra config files loading that may be overriding
your set options.

Beyond that, I dunno.

Doug,

Thanks for the response.

I will try to make it work somehow if pro-e has the ability to bring the drawing along with it's format if I pick start part (*.prt) and select copy associated drawing.

So

is it possible?

did any one successfull in achieving this feat?

Thanks,

Sharath
