I have a STEP file that I saved in creo 3, but was created in creo 4 (lattice feature).
File displays with broken edges, looks corrupt in a view and on the drawing as well.
Any suggestion how to deal with it?
It looks like something facetted the file.
Step files will only be solid files if the original was a solid file.
Many formats output facet files. These are useless in Creo unless you have the reverse engineering extension.
You can post the STEP file if you other eyes on it.
Looks like that it is an image, not the file. My coworker open it up and it was fine.
I went back into file rev and the initial file was several times greater in size than the last rev.
So it is still a mystery.
Thanks
For the most part, STEP and Parasolid (x_t) files are fairly reliable for 3D solid objects.
Good luck.
