Suppress features without Pro/programa

Hello Again.

CREO Frustration week 10 -

Just checking - is it really not possible to design "smart assemblies" were you can suppress parts/groups using parameters, unless I have access to PRO/program ?

I just happen to not access to this feature. Is it really not possible to do this using relations / parameters?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have access to Program in part mode? To test this open a part and invoke the Program function.  I suspect the issue is that you do not have the AAX (Advanced assembly or equivalent) and that is the issue.

Without AAX you will not be able use Pro/Program in assembly mode.

You can build "smart" assemblies without Pro/Program but it will be painful unless you are using a Toolkit app or other API interface. It is highly unlikely that if you are using Creo to build parts/assemblies that you do not have access to Pro/Program. Pro/Program is part of the core feature set and AFAIK is included with all licenses. Can you explain why/how you do not have access to Pro/Program?

I cant access it because I get an error message saying I don't have a license.

I don't have any options on the licensing it directs me to either under options.

Thank you.

Yes, your are correct. I was not aware that the pro program from assembly was in fact the AAX.

Still frustrating that such feature comes at a cost.

Cheers.
