Someone sent me this part as a test. But, Does anyone know the best approach of how to model this part. This requires someone who is an expert on surfacing I think. Can someone model this and let me know how they did it. I would really like to know how to model this Epart in proe
Thanks,
Evan

Evan,

You only sent jpg's of the e-drawing - that's not enough information to model this correctly. From what I can tell thiswould need to be done with surfacing in Pro and would be a full time job for at least a week or twoto get everything right. Nobody's going to model that for you for free. That's what we surfacers do... model this stuff for a living.

Hi Evan,
Not sure what you mean here. Cannot view the OPS_ACH_ARC_RAIL_V5.eprt (I
get an error) but have had a quick look at the JPGs.

Does not seem overly complex to me but yes, from these pictures, I would be
approaching it with surface rather than solid modelling. I suggest anybody
competent in surfacing will not find it much challenge; you will not need an
expert. However I will add a rider that the devil is always in the detail
and there may be something I cannot see from the images that can trip you
up.

Think of extruded surfaces, variable section sweeps, sketched datum curves
and the like.

If you have a part and the reverse engineering module you can get to it from
scanned data 🙂

Not sure if this helps at all.
