Is there a way to switch an assembly between different colour palettes?
We have two conflicting requirements for our assemblies.
On the one hand, when we model parts and build them into an assembly, it's good to have adjacent parts in bright, contrasting colours - this can match the layer colours we use in our 2D master schemes, and makes it easy to distinguish adjacent parts and check the assembly against the 2D. In addition, our machinist is telling us that our exported CAD models of machined castings should show all the machined surfaces in red.
On the other hand, our marketing people would like us to be producing impressive renderings in realistic colours: silver/grey steel, black chromated castings, dull grey machined surfaces and olive hard anodised aluminium.
Is there a way that we can switch between colour palettes so that, say, colours 10-20 are bright colours in the 'checking' palette but all appear as steel when we load the 'rendering' palette?
Should have added: we're using WF4 for the time being.
