1. Describe the Problem
Please update the drawing creation tool so that it isn't terrible. The automatic dimensioning is a mess. The leader placement for hole callouts is ridiculous. It is far too many clicks to add basics such as hole centermarks, let alone the nightmare of patterning centermarks for a bolt circle. Maybe have someone on the staff with experience working to common engineering standards help out the programmers? Why have you inflicted this upon us?
2. Are you using a workaround?
Yes, encouraging my management to dump Creo for one of its more competent competitors.
3. What is the use case for your organization?
We make standard engineering drawings.
4. What impact does this problem currently have on your organization?
Wasted time, money, effort, lots of staff time spent complaining about how awful Creo is.
How long has your company been using Creo or its predecessors?
How long have you been using Creo and did you have any formal training?
Are you using a PLM system (Windchill, etc.) with your Creo Implementation?
I spent almost 20 years on Unigraphics (now NX) prior to switching to Pro/Engineer 25 years ago. Lots of shortcomings in any CAD system where one is better than another, but those dynamics change with each release. Generalized statements that the software is bad will not get a lot of traction or positive responses. If you have specific issues and can document them with an example and even a proposed solution, putting each one in as a new idea, you will get better response from the community and maybe even PTC product management.
When we switch from Unigraphics to Pro/E, the designers put a 'cuss jar' in their work area and tossed a quarter in for every time they swore at what Pro/E was doing wrong. They had donuts every Friday for many months.
If you are using Creo like solidworks or inventor or whateverCAD, you are in for a painful existence.

Creo is definitely not easy to learn especially if you are used to another software. I'll also say I hate that drawings are not easy either, Its all 100% learn-able, if you want to learn it. Its all up to the user behind the keyboard.
