Text marking printed on part

This is not a note, but actual marking on a part represented by text generated in the part file. Text needs to be modified.

The text feature is defined in the part file as a Cosmetic ID, and the letters are dimensioned and generated with multiple arc and line entities, none of which can be edited by the edit or edit definition menu selection.

Maybe the feature is set as "read only"? I'm just guessing. If so, you can clean it the meny picks: Edit > Read Only > Clean (select the feature)

Thanks. I tried that, but nothing. There is a label file listed in the table that I'm thinking might be what I need to edit the text. It needs to be located.
