All;
I would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide in working through this challenge. We have a part
that will ultimately be a thin walled stamped metal component where the material is a diamond pattern screen (i.e. diamond shaped holes) throughout the part. This part is assembled into a fan assembly and modeling the actual details into the part can be cumbersome and create a large file. We are not against doing this if you have some great ideas but were thinking more about applying a texture map to the surface to visually indicate this pattern for a presentation. Any ideas/instructions that you might have to share which will allow us to meet the end goal of seeing the diamond pattern on the part would be very helpful. Not to complicate things but it would also be nice to have control over the sizing and orientation of the diamond pattern. I will also note that this is not a simple flat part as it will be stamped into a cupped shape with a flange around the perimeter.
I will await your replies and great ideas.
Regards,
Bruce
