Hello Pro/E (Creo) Users,
I am looking to see how people are calling out the different textures in plastic parts and also the locations of inserts in themolds. Currently we are creating surfaces and coloring them to show where the different textures are and using curves to show the size, shape and location of the inserts we want in the molds. With this method we are controlling what is seen in different views by hiding and unhiding the desired layers of the view where we want to show this info. This can be a pain and can be confussing adding new layers and taking surfaces off the defaultALL SURFACES layerand thenputting them on thenew TEXTURE layers. See the attached PDF that shows an example of these different colored surfaces.
I'm looking for suggestions for a better way of defining these textures and insert locations in our drawings.
Thanks,

We use a projected curve onto the surfaces that need textures. We still run into the issue with layers and hiding, but this seems to work for us.
