Hi

What is true length in pro/e ?

And how to calculate true length in pr/e sheetmetal ?

Are you thinking developed length through a bend?

Flat Pattern will give you the pre-form geometry through bends.

This is all calculated based on your pre-set bend factors.

Yes I wanted to calculate developed length through bends.

Hoew to calculate ?

I believe it is a value provided when you unbend a sheet metal part.

The value is based on sevaral variables.

Developed length in sheet metal

And there is a little more in depth discussion here: Sheetmetal bend

Re: Sheetmetal bend

Antonius,

" ...To calculate the full finished diameter, you will have to add the bend allowance factors into the calculations."

that's exactly what is needed to reach full 360 deg cylinder, and hope this is simple enough.

R(neutral axis) = 2*Pi / [Length of the flat piece]

R(internal) = R(neutral axis) - K*Thickness =>

R(internal) = 2*Pi / [Length of the flat piece] - K*Thickness

If you know K - factor (and you do know it) just define Inside Radius of a "roll bend" by relation from the abowe. Hope it should make full fit.
