Trying to make a sheet metal part
Hello PTC Community!
I am trying to learn a thing or two about PTC modelling before I have an interview for a mechanical designer position in which I would be modelling in PTC. I am totally new to PTC but have used Solidworks and see that many of the functions and modelling tools are similar.
Getting to the point. The position requires me to model sheet metal parts in PTC so I aqcuired the 3.0 student version. I have watched a few youtube tutorials and see that to make the sheet metal part I have to select the "sheetmetal" sub-type when making a new part. I see the option in the window, but the button is grey and unavailable. My thoughts were that either the student version doesnt have the sheet metal tool or I haven't loaded up that application. Any information on how to enable sheet metal design on the 3.0 student version would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
