I am trying to place a UDMF into the workpiece component (.prt) of a manufacturing assembly (.mfg) using VB API. The UDMF uses six references, 2 from the workpiece part and 4 from the reference part. I can verify that the program is grabbing the correct references via selection strings, but when the udmf is places into the workpiece part, it acts as though it is missing the references that came from the reference part.
Has anyone ever successfully placed a manufacturing UDF in a manufacturing assembly using VB API or web.link? Is the udmf getting confused becuase the reference part references are not found in the workpiece part?
Please see the attached code sample. I show one of the reference part references and one of the workpiece references. Any help would be appreciated.
