WF5 Datum Point tool

Hi all,

On WF4 when I needed to create datum points there was one selection to
sketch it in. Now I'm using WF5 and I can't find it. Was it removed or
moved and I cant find it?

I knew when I moved to WF5 it would bite me.

I couldn't find it either initially. What is even more confusing is that the WF5 help system still shows that sketched datum points are created using the WF4 and lower method.

However, if you create a new datum sketch and on the point flyout menu you click "Geometry Point" as opposed to "Point" it will create the sketched datum points as we all remembered it.

Had a WF5 demo at COPUG yesterday and meant to ask if the old 'sketched
datum point' went away with the new 'geometry point' entities in the WF5
sketcher. Sounds like it did.

The cool thing (at least it sounds cool) is that these 'geometry points'
are available anytime you are sketching, I think. If you extrude the
sketch, the 'geometry point' creates an axis, like the old 'axis point'.
There's also a 'geometry centerline' that is just like a regular old
centerline except that it produces an actual axis once the sketch is
completed. Sounds handy.

OK, I see it now. You have to click on the "Sketch Tool", then for the
point selection click on "Geometry Point" and it will do it. So what
they basically did was combine all sketching in one icon.

Thanks, moving forward now.
