I've messed with the drawing options and tried different types of sections to get the dimensions to measure "true". Could usesome ideas. I'm guessing it's the option for "unfolded" sections, but that type of section is grayed out and I cant try it. I'm assuming to do that, you have to change a drawing option, but I havent found it yet.
