WF5 family table problem

WF5 family table problem

All,
We have a family table that is giving us a problem. We are using WF5 and PDMLink 9.1
The issue is we have a generic assembly with 3 instances. We have put 2 components in the generic that do not show up in one of the instances. We have even added the comps to the family table and said yes in the table and they do not show up. If they get added directly to the instance things work correctly. We have done that and then resumed the 2 parts in the generic model and things work as you would expect.
These parts do not show up in the model tree or the BOM of the instance. They are not on a layer nor have they been hidden. There isn't any simp rep where they are shut off. There is nothing out of the ordinary yet the components do not show up.
In PDMLink if I look at the structure from the information page the items show up for the generic and the other 2 instances but not for the one instance in question.
I hope someone had some idea of what is happening because I am lost.
TIA

the missing components wouldn't have been constrained to any component or datum that was turned off in the third instance maybe? that would cause the 'child' components to turn off as well without actually having anything extra in the family table for them.
