What determines field point movement direction in a UDA?

What determines field point movement direction in a UDA?

I am undertaking a series of User Defined Analysis' (UDA) in CREO 2.0 which consider the distance between two curved lines.

What I am unclear on, is what determines the direction in which the field point moves along it's curve, and thus which end of the curve appears as zero and which as 1 on the x axis (parameter) on the UDA output graph.

I have attached a simplified model of the problem that I am considering.

The curve on which the field point lies is a trimmed intersection line, so does not have a defined start and end point as a sketched line would.

It doesn't appear to matter which end is trimmed first.

And there appears to be no means of specifying which end of the curve the analysis should begin from.

The example attached is exaggerated for clarity, so it is easy to see which end is which, but in reality it is not always clear.

The main problem occurs when comparing a number of different UDA outputs, not being completely sure which ends relate to each other.
