I have never completely implemented the pen table to my prints in some obscure location.
I use the file export function with a saved config file that I maintain in my working folder (client.dop - each client is a little different).
I also keep the appropriate pen table in the working folder (table.pnt)
Recently, I started exporting the PDF directly to a "\submissions" folder which also has the table.pnt in it (and is identical).
I was trying to solve some light text problem on the PDFs when I realized that it is printing default and ignoring the table.pnt (which I know works!).
Moral of this post:
If you go on the cheap for making PDF prints and you rely on a local table.pnt to set your line weights...
SAVE THE PDF IN YOUR WORKING FOLDER!
DO NOT CHANGE FOLDERS WHEN SAVING YOUR FILE!
Just another public service announcement from you friendly lazy CAD guy
