adding new locked license to current all floating installation

Hello Everyone,

We've just purchased a single workstation locked seat of ISDX. The rest of our site is floating modules. I'm about to configure the licenses on PTC's web site, but I'm curious about configuring the new ISDX license. Does it get added to the rest of the licenses on the server, and how will it know that it's my workstation that is the locked seat? I can't seem to find documentation on this anywhere.

Thanks!

You can configure the ptc.opt file in the FlexNet folder to allow only you to use a certain license.
If the new ISDX license is floating, you can do it in the *.psf file by have a dedicated *.psf for you which has the module enabled and the rest of your users have a different *.psf file.

The ptc.opt settings are in the FlexNet User guide, but I don't think PTC has implemented all of the options. You can download a copy from PTC.com.

Thank you,

Apparently the solution is I need to reconfigure our site so that one of our floating foundation licenses becomes locked with ISDX on my computer.

Thanks,
