Thanks Gordon et al who tried to help on this problem,
Gordon gave me a clue when he talked about "the print driver has been
switched to reverse printing". I bit the bullet and reloaded the print
drivers - presto - problem solved.

Are the colors reversed when printing anything or just from Pro/E? Is a
printed email white on black? Does an image print reversed? If this is
the case, perhaps the print driver has been switched to reverse printing
- perhaps there is a "negative" option or something like that.
Did you install software for the new monitor? Typically, monitors will
work without any software. Try uninstalling the monitor software.
Do you still have the old monitor? Does it have the same problem?
