creo3 rename parts in assembly mode?
hi
We just moved to creo 3.
Unless i am being stupid I cannot rename parts in assembly mode only the active assembly.
Previously you where able to select individual parts in the assembly and rename in the assembly environment.
Now i have to open the individual parts and rename each file in part mode.
Am i missing something? this seems backwards from previous releases.
We don't use windchill or any other data management.

Hi,
according to https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS179098 this is current Creo 3.0 behaviour.
Alternate Solution in assembly mode:
- File > Manage File > Rename
- Click OK without changing the assembly name
- Use the upcoming Assembly Rename dialog to rename individual components

Don't forget to mark it as answered if that worked.
