export geometric rep or similar
I need to export in .step, iges or other 3d format for CATIA user a asm file but I want to give them only data like geometric rep. I mean they must assembly in their CATIA Product file but I don't want to give them data that they could use in any other way then graphical I tried to exoprt geometric rep but I got an empty file Thanks

Sergio, I believe you have the option to export as a "part" or a surface model. My preferred method is a 2-step export. 1) Shrinkwrap the assy into a single independent Pro/E solid part resembling the assy geometry (File: Save A Copy: Type=Shrinkwrap: Merge as Solid). That produces a very clean non-associative model that contains no design info. 2) Export (1) into a step or iges. You can mapkey most of that for efficient operation.
