not able to change the table width units and characters.

I couldn't able to change the table width( drawings units) and width (characters) on some of my drawings. 

Could not able to type any thing on column section and it shows blank.

I would really appreciate if i get an suggestion on this .

please upload the drawing containing problematic table.

I think you are selecting a single row of table and right Click > Height. If so, Width will remain inactive.

Select complete table (use filter or Window selection) > RMB > Height and Width, you should be able to control Width.
