Ok, I don't know why I didn't think of this years ago. Probably has been done before but I though that this was pretty nifty
This is a fairly simple way to get a parts faces/surfaces in color while getting the edges to show up in a black (or whatever contrasting color you want). this is for WF5.0; i imagine the same procedure will get the same results in about any version of WF)
To do this:
*create a new color in the appearance manager
*make the highlight color white (at least that is what i did)
It is about that simple...
