pendulum on the moon

Inspired by http://ptc.co/i1TYl I created a chaotic pendulum with ProE WF5, and recorded a DYNAMIC simulation.

I've created a motion skeleton and then attached parts (steel) to each skeleton-body.

This already causes the first problem, I have to create all skeleton-bodies seperately and cannot have copied parts (there are two identical pendulums).

So I created only one pendulum and assembled the same part again in the main assembly.

So the assembly consists of assembled skeleton parts aswell as assembled normal parts, is this wise?

It seems to me the mechanism is behaves like its on the moon (yes I've set the gravity on earth mode), i just don't believe it will behave this way in real life.

How do I properly assemble a mechanism, so that the friction and mass of the steel hinges are taken in account? Is this even possible when the actual mechanism is a skeleton-assembly?
