Dear users,
I have made my own formats, all is ok to use....
Only, when I print my drawings to pdf all text is 'thick'
But, when I print my format (tekst is set to yellow) all seems ok
> what goes wrong between my format and drawing???
As I look to both the loaded text of my drawing is not yellow but green?
thanks

Well with CREO 5 you have a chance - M010-020 were full of PDF problems but perhaps with later revs they have fixed them.
One answer to your problems is the archaic pen table as suggested by Mahanta. This basically maps screen colours to pen styles - have attached one below. Cut and paste into a text file save as *.PNT and follow Mahanta's suggestions. This one outputs grey hidden lines, everything else is black. Pens are for A3 print so are thickish. As the default screen colours change with each version of ProE the colour designations wont be accurate.
As you can see this only uses 6 pens - students of PTC ancient hieroglyphics may be able to do this in a simpler manner using USE_8_PLOTTER_PENS and PEN(X)_LINE_WEIGHT. However to tailor pen thickness and colour to sheet sizes, PNT and PCF files are the way to go.

what version of ProE are you running?
are you PDFing IN ProE or EXTERNAL to ProE?
PDF printing WITHIN ProE has been BAD for a long time - it started to come right from WF5 onwards. I suspect most people PDF externally because of the BADNESS - the bugs were almost comical - at one stage metric/imperial line widths got mixed up - maybe thats your thickness problem.
Hi
If your PDF file is different than that you plot
Then Check the following Config options
Pdf_use_pentable Yes
use_8_plotter_pens Yes
Make a Pen table
Give the path of the file in Config.pro
pen_table_file <part of the file>

K.Mahanta
Thank you for the responses!
I use creo 5, and have seen there is a 'publish tab' to make pdf, atm the result is much nicer than external printing...
However, I accepted the result, only it is not 100% what I want. (text is yellow and printed light grey instead of black. I changed this for my drawing tables but dimensions are still light grey -accepted-)
About the config options, thank you!, I'll check this later (as I have no time, need to export drawings...)
Kind regards,
Didriek
Hi
You want to print in colour or black and white ?
If you want to print everything in black and white
Then you can change the Publish setting to Monochrome
This will print everything in black and white
Regards
K.Mahanta
Black and white... but I have already found that setting, thnx
But it seems, when I start a new part and drawing all is ok when I print.
Only old files and drawing I received from elsewhere have dimension/note colour problems.
There I only replaced the format with mine.... and added new parameters to the part, noting more..with not a 100% good result
So I got there, only not with existing parts... but ok
thanks for the help!
