problem with solidifying a surface

hii I have a problem during the solidification of a surface that penetrates inside a solid body. I attach the photo of the problem. I tried to fill the surface but having projected the curve onto the cylinder I can't select the surface to fill properly, could that be the problem?

In order to solidify a quilt in Creo it needs to be closed (think watertight). Without looking at your model it is hard to define the issue(s).

Just FYI, the model was created with the educational version of creo and can not be opened with the commercial version.

You need to specify what version of Creo and type of license (commercial/Educational) you are using when posting here. Your model was created with an educational license which cannot be opened by a commercial license. I am not able to open the file.

I would bet that the quilt is not closed as this is the most common cause of the error you are getting.
