unhide a dmension

How do you unhide a dimension?

I've hidden a dimension in my dwg, and I want it back.  I see that it is greyed out (and with a black square besid eit: suppressed?), yet I have no means to retrieve or unhide it..

I did find an older solution, that says I can unhide it, but I guess that "simple" method is now lost in Creo 9..

help?

The black square glyph in the model tree indicates that a feature is suppressed. A dimension is not typically a feature so some more information would be useful here. You will not be able to interact with a suppressed feature until it is resumed.

OK, thanks.

yeah, we had a 'symbol' that would allow us to 'pick a dimension' so that it is sucked into a note.  I've deleted the note, yet can't get these dims back.

We made a 'symbol' note for cut-outs (obrounds, rectangles, etc..) and it askes to pick the 'length & width' dims.  So, start the symbol, the pick the dims you want, and the feature note is then created [RECTANGULAR CUT OUT, X.XX x Y.YY, 4 PLACES]..

I've since deleted the symbol (and it has to be either left or right - switching orientation looses the selected dims).  I would expect the dims to be returned..  But instead I get it's hidden / suppressed..

undo [CTRL+Z] undoes the feature creation & such (and more..), but the dims remain suppressed...

thanks!

yeah, it worked fairly well in Creo 3.

We've since jumped to Creo 9, and its been a bit of an ordeal 'coming up to speed' with it..  (Every day seems to be a new 'it used to work, how do they want to to do it now? issue..)

Deleting the symbol (not erase) should release the dimension but there may be a bug there.  You might need to delete the dims in the tree and show them again in the view.
