variable thickness surface

hello pro e users,

is it possible to create a variable thickness wall from a single surface?

Lets say a have a generic surface, in a single thickening step would it be possible to create a solid wall with at least two different thicknesses? how can I control the transition between the two values?

thanks, regards

AL.

Alvaro Barboza,

That almost sounds like a good candidate for a variable section sweep. Most
of the other feature operations are going to assume that you want to
maintain a consistent or uniform wall thickness.

The worst case scenario for this would be to construct 2 surfaces
independently. Somehow I think that this would not do your design any
service at all.

The other thing that nearly comes to mind is a draft. Would that be of any
help to you?

I am using my memory to write these suggestions because I have been laid off
since February 09. So I wish you the best of luck in finding the right
solution and I hope that I have been of some assistance.
