Creo Illustrate 2 File Open Error?

When I try to open one particular ".c3di" file, it sometimes comes back with an error message "This file could not be opened. It may be in use by another user."

That file is in a folder of ProE parts and assemblies with several other c3di files. The rest of them work fine! The subject file is no larger than any of the others. I even tried copying the file and naming it something different - no change.

NO OTHER USERS HAVE THE FILE OPEN!

This has me stumped!

Any ideas?

Bad news! The original file and its copy both all of a sudden had a much smaller file size. My assumption is that the file (and copy) are hopelessly corrupted.

We just got the same error today, fortunately we had a backup file. Is there a patch for this issue? Does anyone know what the cause is?

Plesae log this with Tech Support so that PTC can investigate the files.
