Creo View Launch Issue: Defaults to Windows Login Instead of Windchill Credentials

We’re encountering an authentication issue with Creo View in our shop floor kiosk setup and would appreciate any insights or suggestions. The below issue is observed after configuring Windchill with SSO

Environment:

  • Windchill 12.1 with SSO Enabled
  • Creo View 11.1

Setup Overview:

  • The kiosk runs on a shared local Windows account (saaccount)  used by multiple users to log in.
  • Once logged in, users access the Windchill 12.1 application via Chrome and authenticate using their individual Windchill credentials.
  • When they attempt to open a CAD object using the “Open in Creo View” option, Creo View fails to launch and returns the following error:
    • saccount, 500 – You are not a registered Windchill user

Observed Behavior: It appears that Creo View is attempting to authenticate using the Windows login (saaccount) rather than the Windchill credentials used in the browser session. Since (saaccount) is not a registered Windchill user, the authentication fails.

Has anyone faced a similar issue in a shared kiosk environment? Any guidance on how to configure Creo View to use the Windchill session or prompt for credentials instead of defaulting to the Windows login would be greatly appreciated.
