IDX (EDMD) - Imported ECAD Components Need to be Checked into Windchill

I am switching from IDF to IDX soon and I don't understand the process of uploading files to Windchill after small electrical components have been added to the board from the ECAD side.

On a large board, there are bound to be several small components that are added during the ECAD Validation process. They are valuable to see in the mechanical 3D model because they help with interference checks, but they slow down assembly performance drastically.

Once I accept the components to be added to my assembly, is there a way that I can easily suppress them all so that I don't slow down my computer?

Secondly, when I check-in the assembly to Windchill, it tries to check-in the small components as separate parts. Can I stop them from coming in as individual parts? If not, then how can I rename them before exporting them so that we don't run into issues with trying to check-in electrical components with the same name all the time?
