Increase the line thickness of sketched geometry to make it easier to see.
I think thickness in line font definitions would be good globally!

Yes.allow better differentiation between sketch elements from all sketcher attributes and background 3D profile.
Also, allow locking of sketcher view to enable the user to zoom in/out of sketch profile instead of always centering.
