Hello PTC Support,I would like to ask for advice about the markup features in Creo View Lite.We open PDF drawings stored in Windchill using Creo View Lite, and we would like to use the markup function to add comments and feedback for the drawing creator. However, we are having some difficulty with the usability of Creo View Lite, so we would appreciate your advice. The issues are as follows:When using a PC with a mouse and keyboard, it is difficult to place an annotation exactly where we want it. Also, the annotation window is too small. When using a touch panel monitor, we want to draw lines on the drawing, but the operation is recognized as scrolling instead, so the drawing on the screen moves. We would like to write Japanese comments that require two or more strokes. However, when using the freehand tool, the input is finalized as soon as we release the mouse button or lift the pen/finger. Therefore, it seems that we can only use the “Annotation” function for comments.Could you please

Hi everyone,I am working on a cabling harness design in Creo Parametric. I successfully created a main bundle using the "Along Path" option. Now, I need to create a Branch Bundle that splits off to the right from this main thick bundle. When I select Bundle > Create > Branch, the Menu Manager asks me to "Select 2 items." and forces the selection filter strictly to "Location".However, when I try to select the required locations, it does not allow me to complete the selection or choose the second point correctly to define the branching direction along the network. The network paths for both the main trunk and the branches are already defined, and the wires are routed.Could someone please guide me on the exact selection sequence or share what might be blocking the second item selection in this step?
Our Windchill system creates a Default rep, a Post Publish rep, and a PVZ Publication Graphic using a PostPublish Delegate. But there are several parts in the resulting PVZ Publication Graphic that will not display, although they show up in both the Default and Post Publish rep of the source assembly. The problem components do happen to be models that were imported into Creo Parametric, but I would expect the same behavior for all outputs, not just the Publication Graphic.Everything was created at the same time and viewed in Creo View with the same settings, so I can’t figure out why there would be any difference in that one PVZ versus the other two.
ProblemWhen adding a decal to a surface, the decal is showing its transformation box, but no image is visible.Things that were tried:added the same decal to another surface on another part. added a different decal to the part that turns the decal invisible. creating a new figure from the base model. All of the above showed that it was the part within my sBoM that seemed to be the problem.SolutionA solution I found for my particular instance was the fact that I had 2 copies of the same part overlapping. Hiding one of the parts, revealed the decal. Both parts were named differently and were apart of an assembly. Which is why I didn’t catch it immediately. I’m aware that another solution to this problem is openGL drivers, due to older workstations and their graphics cards not playing nice, but only when decals are not showing up on all parts.I’m writing this up because I haven’t found this solution on the forum. I hope it can help someone in the future.
I am currently working in Creo View 10.0.0.0 (standalone) and have an active session open with hours of unsaved work on a fairly large assembly in PVZ format (with sections, color coding, visibility states). When trying to save the active view as an Annotation Set, I receive the following error:Save Error: Markup object no longer existsSymptoms: The newly created Annotation Sets appear as black squares in the sidebar instead of regular thumbnails and are not loaded on double click. In Windows file Explorer, the original .pvz does not update. Instead, temporary files like [filename].etb.~1~ are generated, indicating the save process aborts before the container is packed. Using "Save As" for the .pvz to a new folder results in a file where the Annotation Sets are broken in the same way. The same happens when saving a copy as *.pvs. Question: The session is still open and the visual state is intact in my RAM. Is there any known workaround to force-save this current state? How can I ide
I am using Creo View Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0 When I open .pvz file larger than 500MB in Creo View Lite 8.0.0.0 Build 27, I get an out-of-memory error, even if the memory limit for the Lite version is 16GB. The error appears immediately after I see the 3D model fully loaded. With the same file my colleagues have no loading problems. They use the same version of Creo View Lite. Here are the errors that I faced: Insufficient memory Creo View Lite has reached its maximum memory limit and will be closed. To view the data, use a version of the product with the Massive Assembly license option. Original, in italian: Memoria insufficiente Creo View Lite ha raggiunto il limite massimo di memoria e verrà chiuso. Per visualizzare i dati, utilizzare una versione del prodotto con l'opzione di licenza Massive Assembly.
In Creo Illustrate 3.0 M020, I unexpectedly get the following mouse pointer in the Figure Viewing Area:I dont know how I got it, but with this pointer visible, transforming parts/assemblies seems no longer possible.Any idea how I can get back the normal Selection mouse pointer? And does anyone know what the function is behind the mouse pointer above and how to use it?Thanks in advance.
I am using Creo Schematics Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0 CREO schematic stucks and User is not able to select any thing ( Block, wire etc ) from sheets and can not close application at same time. It is required to crash CREO schematics from task manager and relaunch again to resolve the issue.
When looking at a large assembly in CreoView, is there a way to see the MBD annotations for ONLY a particular part or ONLY a particular sub-assembly? Can you go and pick and choose what annotations to show in Creo View?
I have set up an account to download the free Creo Viewer version, for viewing only. However, when I click on download and try to enter my username: and enter my password which is the one I initially set up, it gives me an error message that the username or password is wrong. If I click on trying to reset password, it brings up a page for me to enter my suer name which is my email, then it asked me to enter the three digit numbers that are underlined in order, and when I do it, it just circles right back to me having to enter my username and the three digit code at bottom. Also please see attachments of when I try to login. The attachments are in order per the steps.

Hello Team,We are trying to install\upgrade Creo View Express 13.0 as offline installer. As per the installation guide, if Microsoft WebView2 Runtime is already installed on the machine, the installer should detect it and proceed without downloading or modifying the existing installation. However, this is not happening. We have, Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime version 148 is already installed on the machine. During Creo View Express 13.0 installation, the installer still attempts to download WebView2 Runtime version 146 from the internet.Since the environment does not have internet access, the installation cannot proceed. We tested both x86 and x64 WebView2 Runtime installations. We also tested installation under system context and administrator context.Test Environment is Windows 11 Virtual machine.Need help on,Is the installer specifically checking for version 146 only, or should newer versions (such as 148) also satisfy the prerequisite?Does the installer require a particular WebView2 c

I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0 When I save a schematic the software closes and saves. The workgroup manager stays open but I cannot reopen the schematic drawing unless I close the workgroup manager and restart from scratch.
I know there are multiple ways to define routing in PTC Creo Cabling, and I would like to clarify the correct approach.I currently have a cable routed from one connector (P1) to another connector (P2). This cable carries VCC power, so I need to branch off this line at some point and route it to an additional connector. What is the correct method to create this kind of branch, especially considering that I will later create a flatten harness for documentation? Here is what I have tried so far:I used a physical splice component to create the split. However, when I create the flatten harness, the splice appears disconnected or “floating.” I also tried adding a location on the cable and routing a new cable from that location to another connector. In this case, Creo reports the cable as incomplete. What is the recommended best practice for:Creating a branch from an existing cable Ensuring proper connectivity Getting a correct and clean flatten harness outputAny guidance or recommended workflow

When using Creo View (MCAD) if various faces of an object have been recolored using Home --> Appearance -> color palette, it it possible to save the recolored object to a PVZ file in such a way that the new color information is retained in the file and again displayed when the PVZ file is reopened?
Hello all, recently bought a Creo Illustrate license and in the PTC Portal we arranged the Licensing Host details (added the name of the notebook and MAC address)The problem i have is that i am unable to start Creo Illustrate, it seems i need a file before i can start the software. Did some checks in Copilot and it mentions i need a license.dat file which i can retrieve from the PTC portal.I am able to find an option called "Retrieve license file" but according to Copilot these are not the correct file which i need. However i am not able to find another option to find this elusive file 🙂 (or is Copilot just sending me to a totally wrong non existent solution?)Thnx in advance

Hi all,can someone explain to me why an empty Creo Illustrate file is so large? I mean, I've always wondered why the files are so large. But I've only just noticed that even my empty CI files (i.e. without a pvz file) are 83 MB in size. That's about the same size as my own ‘standard’ file (that has 83MB) . But of course, my entire symbol library is included in that standard. But it wouldn't make any sense to store the entire symbol library in every CI file!?Does anyone know what's going on here? Best regards,Ramon Bohne(Siemens-Energy)
