In Creo 2 there is Feature Operations -> Copy-> From Different Version function available. In Creo 3 they have done away with this "redundant" UI but I can not find the equivalent command in the Creo 3 UI. I have an open call with support for 4 days with no documentation other than a CS document that says to use copy/paste for all feature copy ops.
So how do you copy from a different version of the part and have Creo map the common refs as is possible in Creo 2? If they are actually offering CTRL+C/ CTRL+V as a replacement for this I am not seeing equivalent functionality. I have to manually map every ref to copy a feature from one model to another, this is not an improvement to the functionality. Anyone have any additional information on this UI improvement?

Are you meaning an older iteration number? If so, try this:
Copy > paste special > advanced ref configuration is very powerful, I use it all the time to copy feature between models or even inside the same model. I've never used copy > paste.
Sometimes mapkeys can find commands no longer available. You might try it.
name is diff. copy it to your config.pro and reload your config. Worth a shot.
mapkey diff ~ Command `ProCmdMmFeatOper` ;#COPY;#FROMDIFVERS;
Mapkey does not invoke the menu unfortunately.

It took escalating the call and more than 3 weeks to finally get some documentation that explains what is behind the UI in this case. References are mapped but there is no indication in UI to show this which was quite confusing. Here is the best explanation provided to date that is relevant to this particular case of copy/paste functionality.
