Is there a way to export mold flow analysis results, like fiber orientation and residual stresses, for use in later structural analysis? If not, then what is the purpose of the Creo mold extension?
Ideal output would be .nwd, .nod, or some kind of ASCII.
This would be a great option, but there are many reasons to use mold flow and not take it the next step to a multiphysics analysis. I do not use Creo mold flow extension. I used the pro plastic advisor extension before. If that is the same thing it was pretty basic. If Creo is able to visualize the fiber orientation results, then there is already a file holding the information. On the simulate side you can toggle all output files to ASCII, Maybe there is that option somewhere for the mold flow side?
I don't see mold flow questions here much so I am unsure about people in the community that can help. So, I piped in even though I am not a user of the mold flow extension.
I only have experience with MoldFlow in this context. I do not believe the Creo mold analysis extension supports this. I do not think residual stress is available in this Creo extension based on the data sheet.

Autodesk Moldflow does support exporting the residual stress as a boundary condition for use in FEA structural analysis.
I would suggest that you contact PTC support to inquire directly about your requirements.
