Hello all, first time post, long time lurker.
I've recently dabbled into CREO simulate. I'm having trouble working with fasteners and understanding why such low fastener preloads produce insanely high stress values. I'm using CREO 7.0
When I apply only 10N of preload to my fastener (1/2"), I get thousands of MPa on the metal plates. I have no external loads applied. 25000MPa. WHY?
Here's a look at my fastener.
And here's my material.
Please help me understand what is going on. Thank you.
Here is the simulation diagnostics.
