Add macros

I see a lot of interesting macros for IsoDraw in the discussions that I would like to try out, however I don't know how to get them to show up in the macros menu.

Does anyone know how to add macro files or copy and paste the macro text from a discussion on here in to IsoDraw?

Thanks!

Only a few steps are necessary to create an IsoDraw macro:

1. Navigate to "AppData\Roaming\PTC\IsoDraw\Macros"

2. Create a textfile with any name and with the extension ".ism"

3. Copy and Paste the macros in this file and save it

4. Restart IsoDraw and you can use the macro

One .ism file can contain more than one macro, and you also can have more than one .ism file in the folder

Thanks!

I followed your steps but the macro didn't show up in IsoDraw Macro drop down menu.

Any idea why a macro wouldn't show up?

Did you shut down IsoDraw and restart it after placing the file?

Yes.

A macro needs to start with

MACRO macroname

and needs to end with

END MACRO

If you created your macro by copy and paste from different hints in the forum please check if it has the correct start and end

I knew it was something simple. The macro was missing END MACRO at then end of the macro.

THANKS!
