Arbor text 7.1 - xml always opens in IE even if default type is set to Arbor text.

When internet explorer is opened and if i try to open the xml (associated with Arbor text by default) , xml open in IE.

If IE is closed then xml opens up in Arbor text without any issues. Could you please help.

I want to open the xml in arbor text even if the IE is opened.

you might have the xml mime type associated with IE in the association in the operating system. You might check that as that could cause it to open in IE. this is a guess but worth seeing what mime types are associated with IE in your system.
