Arbortext Adapter to Documentum/WDK: PINE-1043 = what 6.0 mXXX?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to map the Arbortext Adapter to Documentum/WDK's self
reported version (Help > About in the WDK window) of PINE-1043 back to the
Arbortext main version/release?
I think this should be (hope this is) 6.0 m090 but suspect it may be 6.0
m010.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to resolve the following errors for Arbortext 6.0:
1. Stylesheet "eventlog.fos: Turning context rules on would cause the text to be out of context. Context rules are still off
2. FOSI compile failed Using default formatting information message
3. Stylesheet "dflt.fos: Turning context rules on would cause text to be out of context. Context rules are still off message
4. editor.exe: [A28063] Default fosi compile failed. Default FOSI (EPIC_PATH/lib/dflt.fos) is invalid, incomplete, or inaccessible. Cannot continue. Terminating (in order in which they pop up.
Would much appreciate some help.

Just guessing here, but these settings seem to indicate that Arbortext Editor can't find some of its own files, which is often caused by having an APTCATPATH environment variable with a value that is missing the %D value. (APTCATPATH=C:\myfiles\mydocuments\mycatalog;%D)

Hi Annie,
From the statement that says "Epic_Path", and I am taking a complete
guess you are going from Arbortext Epic 4.3 to Arbortext 6; is that a
correct guess? My next question would be do you have both 4.3 and 6.x
installed?
If so, not that I want to send you on a wild goose chase, but it might
be worth checking briefly to see if they are installed to different
directories and the only reason I mention this is that "someone" (who
shall remain un-named) installed 5.3 on my PC into the same directory as
4.3 which caused no end of problems resolving paths to stylesheets and
so on. 4.3 installs to C:\Program Files\Arbortext\... whereas 5.3 and 6
install to C:\Program Files\PTC\... I am currently running 4.3 and 6.x
on my PC but they are not in the same directories!
With regard to Arbortext 6.x It may be revealing to check your file
location preferences in Arbortext 6.x under the Menu\Tools\Preferences,
and under the Category File Locations; there are several entries, here
is what I see for comparison:
Catalogs:
C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext
Editor\application\com.arbortext.sma\doctypes;C:\Program
Files\PTC\Arbortext
Editor\application\com.ptc.arbortext.techinfo\doctypes;C:\Program
Files\PTC\Arbortext
Editor\adapters\com.ptc.prowt.arbortext\doctypes;C:\Program
Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor\doctypes

Entities:

Browser
[no entry]
DITA References
C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext
Editor\application\com.arbortext.sma\ditarefs;C:\Program

I also have some system environment variables set for 4.3 which 6.x
picks up but they don't prevent 6.x from working... well, no issues yet.
Of note as well is that old fosis and dtds which worked in 4.3 just fine
are likely incompatible with 6.x and may need to be upgraded in one way
or another. I've got a couple of those...
