Basic questions about FOSI, screen style sheets and ACL commands

Hello again 😃

Some days ago Paul Nagai posted me some info about FOSI, I think that
this tool would be very very useful in order to reach my goal, however I
don't know anything about FOSI =( Please, if any of you could help me
giving me more info related with FOSI and screes stylesheets it would be
awesome!! =D

I have been searching more info about FOSI, however is pretty confusing
for me now, If any of you know more general and basic information I will
really appreciate your help, for example, I would like to know how do I
implement a FOSI screen style sheet? I have been trying with my init.acl
file and the 'set stylesheet' command but I can not see any change or
any difference in my documents, also I think this is because I don't
know how FOSI works =( ...I mean, I don't know if when I open an
existing document automatically mi stylesheet would be applied; what I'm
trying to do is that when a user clicks a button, some text be
highlighted in a specific color, I would like to implement this approach
dynamically using ACL, please if any of you could explain me more about
FOSI I would be really grateful.

As always I really appreciate your time, comments and support.

Hi Paulette,

You should really invest in some training if you are serious about "going deep" with FOSI or screen stylesheets.

However, the approach currently recommended by PTC is to ignore FOSI and use Arbortext Styler for your styling needs (including screen styling). You can generate screen stylesheets with the "free" version of Styler which ships with Arbortext Editor. If you need to do print or HTML stylesheets then you need the paid-for version of Styler.

There is plenty of help content about associating stylesheets with documents. The simplest way to associate a custom stylesheet is to apply your stylesheet using the "Format" menu, rather than mucking about with ACL.

Cheers,
