Hi Roopesh,

Head over to www.ptc.com and find your local reseller or sales rep. They can organise for an evaluation licence.

Sorry Roopesh, I wasn't sure if it also had Architect. There is no other
link. That's the only one that's generally available. For any other product
you must go through your PTC (or reseller) sales rep.

Roopesh,

What are you trying to do that requires Architect? Okay I’ve been using Epic for a long time, but I can do 85-90% of what Architect does with Editor and the command line.

Lynn

There is no link. You need to contact PTC or talk to your local reseller.
They may or may not be able to issue a trial either way will have lots of
questions for you.

I was wondering why you needed it also. I use a text editor for 90% of what Architect does for the last 10 years and the other 10% is compiling SGML document types (I use the SGML editor for compiling SGML (compiling not required for XML))..

I agree with Lynn and Andy. Architect is mostly unnecessary. It used to be more useful in past years for SGML doctypes (compiling doctypes, which builds the binary files that Editor needs for SGML doctypes.) This can be done from the command line. FOSI editing may have also been a capability of Architect. This is also just as easily done with a text editor or using the FOSI panels.

sorry about the attachment, couldn't help myself 🙂

Oh, it's not that bad, Gareth. Unless you equate the black tongue of Mordor with SGML.

Perfect!
