I can't remember what this is called. A better strategy than using XML
Comments for providing guidance to authors completing forms-like entries.
Was it all a dream?

Given my record in recent posts, I'm sure I will remember twixt the click
and send.

Hey, Paul...

Perhaps you're thinking of the "template text" that can be wrapped in
" and " PIs so that Editor will
remove it when the user enters the real data. I think this could be
provided by creating an appropriate
ContextTransformations/InsertAutoWithin section in the DCF.

Bah, that sounds like fun - wish I could spend more time playing in your sandbox!

I just use the editor-only FOSI tag to stick in some ever-present gentext...

I don't remember seeing the PI tags and I thought the text was formatted
differently somehow ... gray maybe? ... and I remember thinking the text
wouldn't print. Probably all of those things could be customized to be true
with the template PI, but I remember thinking it was an out of the box
feature. Maybe I just "hoped" for more than was actually there. Maybe it
*was* all a dream.

But thanks, Brandon. I'll pass it on to the people I was looking for this
for and maybe it'll work for them.
