Hi,
I'm trying to discover if it would be possible (and the best way) to create a "unified" document view for a project that inherits multiple system specification from a common project (in a way that it would be easy for the reader to understand the whole project, without having to jump between two different projects).
So in the project that imports the system specification I created a field that has a reference to the parent project (optional, populated if the item requires some feature from the parent project).
I then created a "traceability document view in the tracker, which includes "show Descendant Items" (which just became greyed out).
My objective would be to show the referenced item (Camera coordinate system) with all of it children. So for someone reading the document it would seem like a single document containing both the child and parent project specification (called using the reference).
Any ideas, suggestions? Is there perhaps a better way of doing this?
