GCRI Plugin

I went looking today for the GCRI (Granite Cross Release interoperability) plugin that allows older versions to open files from newer (2 or 3 releases back, I think), and I couldn't find it. A Google search for "GCRI" or "Granite Cross Release interoperability" came up empty as did a search here at PTC.com. I found a link in an old email to the page for it (http://www.ptc.com/products/granite/gcri/free-download.htm)

We were just looking at this not too long ago. I think it's the redo of their website that moved links, etc.

Or, I suppose, to do the cardinal sin of data duplication (and for those not wanting to bother with their ptc account):

* GCRI method
* Use GRANITE(r)-Based Cross-Release Interoperability (GCRI) Functionality Implemented Starting in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0
* For description of GCRI and instructions for its use, refer to TPI 132326<">https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=132326>
* Capabilities, Benefits and Support of GCRI<">http://www.ptc.com/products/granite/gcri/index.htm>
* Refer to Notes and Limitations document<">http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/62617/en/GCRI_Operational_Use_And_Limitations.pdf>
* For example, cross sections, simplified representations and drawings are not supported with GCRI
* only read-only access to existing features, but capability to add new feature
* Where to download the readnewermodels.dll file
* For Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 - 5.0, Creo Elements/Pro 5.0<">http://support.ptc.com/products/granite/gcri/free-download.htm>
* For Creo Parametric 1.0 - 2.0
* Copy readnewermodels.dll from <creo load=" point=">\Common Files\<datecode>\<machine_type>\gcri
* Where <machine_type> equals x86e_win64 for 64-bit installation or i486_nt for 32-bit
* For Creo Parametric 3.0
* Copy readnewermodels.dll from <creo load=" point=">\<datecode>\Common Files\<machine_type>\gcri
* Where to put into readnewermodels.dll file
* For Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 - 5.0, Creo Elements/Pro 5.0
* Put the readnewermodels.dll into <pro enginer=" load=" point=">\<machine_type>\obj\
* For Creo Parametric 1.0 - 2.0
* Put the readnewermodels.dll into <creo load=" point=">\common files\<datecodes>\<machine_type>\obj\
