Method of optimization

Hi, all

I need know what type of optimization method is used in BMX. From one sorce I know that it could be simplex optimization method, but there exists two methods with that name (simplex method). First one is simplex method from Dantzing for solving problem of linear programing. Second one is downhill simplex method from Nelder-Mead for optimising large scale uncostrained problems. Which one is used in BMX or another one?
