Does anyone know what's new in ProductView 9.0? PTC's product calendar lists the first customer ship date for that updated release as September 2007 (which we're nearing the end of):
New file format - much smaller and more efficient, smart enough to reuse the same viewwable for the same part (i.e. create 1 viewable for a bolt, not 1 for each instance)
At first glance,there doesn’t appear to be much different in Release 9.0 (F000) of the Standard Edition client for ProductView.The only thing that I noticed was the ability to open the new model archive types with the "PVS" and "PVZ" file extensions.
I think that the"updated GUI"enhancement(s) apply to ProductView Lite which is another application ...
