That is a bummer.



Here is a screen shot of eDrawings 2009 viewer file open dialog box. Pro/E
files are an explicit option:









When you go to download the eDrawings viewer (may ne be true for the
publisher download) there is a page where you can check "Yes, I want to view
3D XML and PRO/E files using eDrawings viewer":
